Radio Silence and A Broken Mercedes!

So, it's been an interesting few weeks!  Apologies for the radio silence but there's been a lot going on......I've been away on training courses in Devon and Solihull, dealing with other job stuff (I'll tell you more next week), my Nan passed away on Friday and to top it all off my car broke down tonight!

That said I did manage to pop into my favourite shop, The Hambledon Gallery in Blandford, and buy myself a nice new pair of Hudson shoes for the fall (50% off in the sale no less!).

Mmmmmm....tan leather!
I've got another crazy week this week coming what with having to go to Norfolk for the funeral, and having no car!  So hopefully I'll be back to blogging normality the week after.

Hope all is well with you my lovelies. xxx

Last Week....according to Instagram!

So I finally got Instagram, and I'm addicted!  Here are a few photos of my week......and yes, that is a row of prize cows you see in the middle of the bottom row!

Do you use Instagram?  How long does the addiction last?

Happy Instagramming my lovelies! xx

Friday Fancies and Weekend Temptations

A nice spot for lunch!

Wow, it's been another crazy week but a good one.  I've been lucky enough to spend most of this week either walking along rivers or by the sea.....and I get paid for it!  Brilliant!!!!!

This week I've mostly been listening to Radio 2!!!!  And no, it's not because I'm now 32!  I've just changed my car and this one has a radio that works and I love listening to Chris Evans on my commute into work, he cracks me up!

I've mostly been watching the Olympics, I really wish I had the opportunity to go to the Olympic Park.  I really wasn't bothered before it all started but now, well, I'm addicted.  The athletes are so inspiring.  Oh and another reason, there's a Russian gymnast who is the spitting image of me....and I mean IDENTICAL, it's scarey!  It could only be more freaky if she was Ukranian!

I'm coverting a few things this week, and hoping I might get one or two of them for my Birthday! (shhhh.....don't tell anyone, it's today!).

I really love this top by Pigeonsbay Boardriders, available at Big Salty.

I'm also coverting these beautiful storage jars by Camila Prada....I want them ALL!!!!!!!

(Too cute!)

And finally this laptop and phone case from Mujjo on etsy.

(Mmmmm.....tan leather accessories!)

I've been a little naughty and treated myself to a few new bits of kit for the silversmithing studio so really looking forward to making use of those, and hopefully having something to show you all very soon!

This weekend I'm off to the Ringwood and Ellingham Show with one of my besties who I've not seen for ages.  Plus I've been learning all about Agriculture so I'm looking forward to seeing all the animals.
If you're in Dorset why not head down to the Bankes Arms Beer Festival at Studland, or if you fancy something a little different check out the American Pow Wow at Milton Abbas. I think this sounds AWESOME but sadly I can't go.

I've been so super busy I've not had a chance to see what else is going on around the Country........what are you up to this weekend???

Happy Friday my lovelies. xx

Tuesday is Food Day - The Living Room

One of my favourite meals to eat out is breakfast.  I'm not sure why this is, perhaps it's becuase it feels decadent, or because I'm addicted to pancakes!

This weekend we took our friends, the Stick People, to our favourite eatery, The Living RoomI think I might have mentioned this place before!  It's a fantastic B&B which has opened it's doors for brunch and coffee from 8am to 2pm.

The Living Room serves beautiful food, lovingly prepared by their chef, Tansey.  It's eclectic mix of dishes is inspired by their travels in Vancouver, Toronto and New York.  The menu is so enticing I guarranttee you'll be back time and again to try different dishes.  For me it's got to be either (you guessed it) Pancakes or French Toast.  The Boy likes the Hashes and this time went for the Red Flanel Hash, whilst the Stick People went for the Pancakes and The Living Room Breakfast.....and we were all pretty pleased with our choices!

(Clockwise from top left; Breakfast, French Toast, Red Flannel Hash and Pancakes)

Not only is the food amazing but the atmosphere is lovely too, really relaxed and friendly.  There are sofas and plenty of papers to enjoy over your morning coffee.  There's also a garden so you can sit out when the sun is shining.

If you live in Bournemouth you HAVE to get down to The Living Room, if you don't then why not book a weekend by the sea and stay in their B&B There really is no excuse not to have breakfast here!

What's your favourite meal to eat out?

I hope to see some of you here real soon! xx

21 Again........well maybe 32!

Hey there my lovelies.  Apologies for the lack of Friday Fancies and Weekend Temptations, the week just sort of ran away with me......and before I knew it Saturday was here and I was out celebrating my birthday! (I'm 21 you know!)
