Mardle Made Jewellery - The Cornish Collection

That's right ladies and gents, The Cornish Collection is finally here!  I'm so pleased to be able to share it with you, I've loved creating it!  I love silversmithing, it's such a creative yet scientific process, and I love my little studio.  And I'm pleased to be able to tell you that it's all available in my Folksy Shop now.

Top Row: Reflections of the Cornish Moon Earrings//Reflections of the Cornish Moon Bracelett//Sea Caves Bangle
Middle Row: Tides Necklace//Tides Bangle//Tides Bracelet
Bottom Row: Surface of the Sea Bangle//Surface of the Sea Bracelet//Surface of the sea Earrings (also available in white)

The Cornish Collection was inspired by many a trip to Cornwall, and particularly a visit to Polzeath in 2011.  It focuses on the coastal environment and the textures and colours reflect the wild Cornish sea, rugged coastline and undulating hills.

I'd love to know what you think of it, drop me a message in the comments box below.

Friday Fancies & Weekend Temptations

So its Friday again! I've spent another week working on campaigns in the office and slogging away in the silversmithing studio all evening!... Truth be told I love it!  I've been working so hard that I'll be launching the Cornsih Collection VERY SOON!!!!!!  I can't wait!  Watch this space!

I've had very little time to surf the net this week, as you can imagine, but I had to share this Orla Kiely Fox Dress with you.....I saw it on one of the shop assistants in the Orla Kiely shop on my trip to London last weekend and it's beautiful!  But the £315 price tag is beyond me!  I'll definitely be watching our for it in the sales!

This weekend The Boy and I are seeing friends.....ALL weekend, it's going to be ace.  We are going out for lunch with friends on Saturday, The Stick People are coming over on Saturday night and then on Sunday we are getting together with a whole group of friends and cooking up a big Sunday Roast.  I' sure there will be plenty of walks in the cold winter weather and plenty of open fires too!

What are you up to this weekend?

If you are i the New Forest this weekend and still have some Christmas shopping to do why not head to the New Forest Christmas Fair.  They've got Christmas Trees, Wreathes and lots of craft presents to boot....plus there will be lots of tastey festive treats to enjoy whilst you shop!

If you're in or near Greenwich why not pop over to the Cockpit Arts Open Studios in Deptford for some amazing handmade gifts.

Whatever you are up to I hope you have a fun filled weekend, full of festive treats and family and friends.

Festive wishes my lovelies. xx

Tuesday is Food Day - Cheese & Alfies

Breakfast!  It's the best meal of the day!  And as you probably already know it's my favourite meal to eat out, especially with The Girls or with The Boy.  A couple of weekend ago The Girls and I popped along to Cheese & Alfies in Christchurch, famed for it's quirky cafe-bistro style.

Cheese & Alfies is situated in the historic part of Christchurch on a cobbled lane.  It's bright marine-blue exterier is eyecatching and inviting.  With tables and chairs outside and an eclectic mix of furniture inside it's a warm and welcoming enviornment.  They serve Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner and the menu is full of fresh, simple and family-friendly food.  Plus they often have an offer on.

It being breakfast I would normally opt for Pancakes but on this occaision I thought I'd try the Pan Haggety (sauteed potatoes, ham, egg and gryure) and I wasn't disappointed.  It arrived in a skillet and was enough to feed and army!  The egg was cooked perfectly with a nice runny yoke.

The Girls had Pancakes (I wasn't jealous at all! And yes I will be having these next time!) and the Small Pan Breakfast (also served in a skillet).  The photos below just don't do it justice!

With a pregnant lady among us the staff at Cheese & Alfies were friendly and accommodating of her request for a fully cooked egg ,and also welcoming of the Mum and Baby in our group.  We were very well looked after, and after all that food I can't say I didn't have a little nap on the sofa when I got home!!  (Don't tell the Boy!)

If you've not been to Cheese & Alfies before I'd definitely recommend it, I've only been for breakfast but am looking forward to an evening meal soon.  In fact I enjoyed breakfast so much The Girls and I are going again ina couple of weeks!

Oh and don't forget to check out their website and their Facebook Page.

Do you go out for Breakfast?

Happy Tuesday my lovelies. xx
